The 3rd release in the drp records split vinyl 7 inch series, only 500 copies pressed. Each copy includes a bonus download card with 3 exclusive tracks from each band. Volcom recording artists, Year Long Disaster are a LA, Ca. based rock supergroup. The lead guitarist/singer of YLD is Daniel Davies, the son of Dave Davies of the Kinks. Bassist Rich Mullins also is in hard rock legends, Karma to Burn. Brad Hargreaves of platinum-selling group Third Eye Blind is behind the drums. The tracks included on this release were produced by Killers producer, Mark Needham. 2007 - 2008 saw YLD touring non-stop, highlighted by opening for the Foo Fighters, The Sword, Motorhead, Velvet Revolver, and Clutch. Paired up by mutual friend, drp records label head, Frank Phobia, the bands have many shows together under their belts. West Chester, Pa. based Backwoods Payback have been a hard driving, drinking, touring machine since 2003. The songs are raucous, soulful, with a bluesy Soundgardenish feel.
